Psalms 45,48
 45:4 In your majesty ride forth victoriously
      in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness;
      let your right hand display awesome deeds.48:10 Like your name, O God,
      your praise reaches to the ends of the earth;
      your right hand is filled with righteousness.
I like how these two verses, though from different psalms, complement each other. Psalm 45 is about the king who is God. Psalm 48 is about the praiseworthy God. We see therefore that God our King is praiseworthy and that his right hand, which is filled with righteousness, will display awesome deeds. This leads us to Psalm 50…
 1 The Mighty One, God, the LORD,
      speaks and summons the earth
      from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets. 2 From Zion, perfect in beauty,
      God shines forth. 3 Our God comes and will not be silent;
      a fire devours before him,
      and around him a tempest rages. 4 He summons the heavens above,
      and the earth, that he may judge his people: 5 “Gather to me my consecrated ones,
      who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” 6 And the heavens proclaim his righteousness,
      for God himself is judge.

And what attitude will we have when God judges us in his righteousness, with his right hand that is filled with righteousness? I like the response of Psalm 51:14, which is about the attitude we need to have toward God when He judges us. Don’t hide from Him, simply repent of our wrongdoing, and ask God to cleanse us.
 14 Save me from bloodguilt, O God,
      the God who saves me,
      and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
God’s righteousness is our shelter. We can count on it. In His righteousness, He judges us fairly, but forgives us if we repent. He does this out of love, that we might love Him. What else can we do, but sing?
