Let the Earth not Boast in Evolution

Memo to Earth: Do not boast.

Why do I say this? Because I have seen your obedience to God, and then watched you take the credit, as if God doesn’t exist.
Genesis 1:24
24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.”
And you did in fact take what life was already there, and produce the livestock and cattle we have from them. You produced them according to their kinds, yet you take credit for what you have done. But you err, for the passage goes on…
And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according …

Dating the Flood - History of Lake Van (Part 1)

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

There are many things one has to do to verify the date of a historical event.  In my case, I started with a conspicuous geographical feature, the Burckle Crater, whose creation suggested there was a flood around where Noah existed.  The date suggested was 2807 BC.  Why then?  Well, the tsunami that would have been caused by the impact would have run along the surelines of the Indian Ocean, where there are several chevrons that date to around 2807 BC.  Also, there were historical citings of odd geological events around then, such as a full eclipse, which occurred May 10, 2807 BC.

To check out that date, I looked for historical proof of a flood in 2807 BC.  What I …

Here are the particulars of God’s promise that he would never again “curse the ground because of man” or “destroy all living creatures”…
22 “As long as the earth endures,
       seedtime and harvest,
       cold and heat,
       summer and winter,
       day and night
       will never cease.”
It is an interesting promise, because it reiterates God’s promises above, but it is not immediately clear how so.

“Seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night,” are now conditional on the earth enduring.  Enduring what?  Well, the word translated “endures” is “yowm”.  As used, it refers to the remaining designated time of something.  In this case, for the time the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, etc., will never cease.  In …
