Genesis 1:3 - Let there be light!

Genesis 1:3 - “And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”

Introduction

Genesis 1:1a tells us that Jesus was God's agent of Creation. Genesis 1:1b tells us that before anything else, He created the earth, sun, moon, and stars. From the science of Zircon Crystals, we also know that the earth was covered in water and was experiencing torrential rains. Between those rains and the dim sun of that time, it would have been dark over the oceans. Science tells us these conditions suddently cleared up 3.9 Ga (billion years ago).

In Genesis 1:2, Jesus was with the Holy Spirit, hovering above the torrential rains. It light above, but it was dark below. Then, in verse 3, God said, "Let there be light", and there was light.

What Did God Command?

Have you ever wondered who God was talking to? Most of us just think of Him speaking commands. He wasn't talking to anyone, just speaking light into existance with mere words. Was it really that simple?

If we embrace John 1:3 and Proverbs 8:30, then it would seem God the Father was speaking to God to the Son, Jesus. If scripture is true, the Father said to Jesus, "Let there be light." "Let" there be? Well, what was stopping it?

The Word "Be"

As described at GoToTheBible.com, God's command to let there be light "might have been by an absolute act of pure creation or making out of nothing. But it may equally well be effected by any supernatural operation which removes an otherwise insurmountable hinderance, and opens the way for the already existing light to penetrate into the hitherto darkened region." In fact, this is exactly what science tells us happened.

What did Jesus do?

As discussed in Zircon Crystals, the record of meteor strikes recorded by moon indicates a sudden burst of meteors, followed by a suprising stop them. They just stopped. If the meteors were causing the rains that blocked out the light, then stopped the meteors would let there be light. It would seem therefore that stopping the meteors is exactly what Jesus did.
